Hi guys,
Just need some advice...
Im moving house in about a month, i already claim housing benefit at my current address, so when i move ill obviously have to tell the council im moving and update my adress so ill be able to claim housing benefit on my new house, im just wandering what ill have to take into the council with me? When i first applyed for housing benefit i had to take proof, e.g bank statements, will i need to do this all again? or do they just update my details?
Thanks

In the past I have found it best to take everything, that way your claim is not delayed because they decide at a later date that they need XYZ.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0

EVERYTHING ! In fact ring the council and ask them for a list, write down the list of things they tell you, write down the name of the person that told you and the date you called
Trust me

Also depending on how far away you're moving you may have to cancel your current claim and open a new claim for your new house instead of just using the change of address form.0
