Had credit card with abbey, in 2006, don't know if it had ppi?

We looked through loads of paperwork but the only thing we could find is a letter to say interest rates are going up. and another one to say his limit was 2000, however his balance was 2183 so he owed 183. We don't know if he had ppi, do I just write to them to ask them? Or just write to them asking for ppi back, assuming it was there? Don't really want to send a cheque!

Comments

  • In order to get a refund of PPI, you need to give them a reason why it was mis-sold.

So, the first stage is to ask whether PPI was charged, otherwise a complaint about it being mis-sold isn't going to get very far if there wasn't any PPI in the first place.
