  • Minion suitably physiotherapied and despatched to KH for a swimming session. He is apparently going to 'encourage' her to actually take some anti-inflammatories, as the swelling in her knee just isn't going down yet and it's affecting her physio. Hope he has better luck with her than I do.

Never going to send her into school in the morning when she has an appointment again, though - she was kept for 10 minutes after her latest leaving time by staff faffing around to sort out an off the premises pass - which they could have sorted out at 9.30am, when they phoned to check that I had written the note in her planner in the first place. So she missed the bus and we were ten minutes late for the appointment - luckily, the physio was running fifteen minutes late herself, but still...

Came back via the beauty salon where we had eyebrow threading - and Minion has decided that twice is enough, she is never having it done ever again and she is keeping her monobrow! I would have got my nails done, but I ripped one right down into the nail bed this morning and tore the cuticles as well (yes, I did say naughty words) :( and there is no way I'm paying out for plastic substitutes when I have perfectly nice ones of my own - they never normally break, so I've got 9 normal ones and one pathetic stump. Serves me right for helping someone out by getting under their car and putting the replacement fanbelt on for them. I took pity on the neighbour because he has HUGE hands, so couldn't even get one loop of the fanbelt over the pulley, but I'm not doing it again. No good deed goes unpunished, after all. :).

Actually did some brief pottering around in the garden when we got back and found a nice handful of strawberries hidden behind some tomato plants. No idea if they were nice or not, as Minion hobbled off with them tout de suite :)

Just got to shift myself off the sofa for long enough to actually do something useful and before I know it, it'll be time for the club.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
