Hey Guys,

Just having a good old vent - Ordered some stuff from mandmdirect.com yesterday as my Mum used to order regularly and found some stuff I liked. In fact ran up quite a bill on there but the intention was to try on a few items and decided which of them I liked best and keep what I liked, which knowing me would have been most of the order!

I had a phone call today just to advise that they wanted to clarify my billing and delivery address as they are different, so I went through explaining I am a student and my billing address is my permanent address and the delivery address is my student address! Fine - end of call expect the items in 3-5 days!

Then a few hours later the phone rings again and apparently they cannot carry on with my order unless it goes to the billing address due to security!! No where on their website did it state that the first order has to go to the billing address...and they didn't advise me of this when I spoke to them merely a few hours earlier!! Apparently there is nothing they can do and if I do not want the items to go to my billing address I need to cancel the order.

I am extremely annoyed at this as I do not know when I will be at my billing address next so now I have had to cancel the order and the company miss out on a sum of money... probably to them the hundred or two that I was going to spend is nothing and they couldn't care less but I quite frankly think its ridiculous!!!!!

Well if you do not know when you are going to next be at billing address but are going to be at the student address, get it delivered there and have that be the billing address too!

That would mean changing my debit card and banking etc over to my student address though which is temporary accommodation where as I prefer it to go to my permanent address until I finish uni and get my own place.

If you are able to, they accept cheque by post which will get you past this hurdle.

but it is weird - this is on their website...



Can I have my parcel delivered to a different address?

Yes, on the first stage of the checkout under delivery address select no to the question is the delivery address the same as the cardholder address.

Usually the first order has to go to the billing address, subsiquent orders can then go to alternative addresses. I've had this with a lot of internet orders.
