Seriously, unless you go for something really silly like a netbook that came free with a phone contract or something, any proper computer will be fine. You're doing normal office things, you aren't playing games or doing resource intensive graphics stuff etc.. No need to spend anywhere near £750.

Follow closed's advice before deciding to replace it, anyway.

Good sound advice. You do not need a gaming pc.

Thanks for all th suggestions. Have given my computer a 'dusting down' and done all the healthchecks recommended - so short term hopefully will help a bit. Backup HDD also stopped working last week (not doing well with tech at the moment!).

On the basis of all your recommendations - I was originally looking at the Fusion Electron £750 but will now look at the Fusion Neutron £499 - which seems like a good deal - will have to look through options to see what parts are worth upgrading
