If what you say is true then you most probably have a very strong case for legal action against him.
That being said you should take proper advice which is not through this forum for one second - face to face with a solicitor is what is required.
Do not post the details of the report and remove the builders name from your post. If you do not you could seriously compromise any case you think you have against him and you stand a very good chance of finding some sort of defamation action being taken if he or his friends come across this thread.
If however you have no intention of pursuing him throgh the courts or don't care about defamation then carry on.

Thats a horrible job
Ops site
http://badbuilder.net63.net/The weight of the roof rests on these unsupported beams. In the above photo, you can also see another unsupported beam on the right. The lead is not embedded in the wall, it just sits against roughcastThe gap you see in the picture above, along with others that don't show there,
is at the side, where the wood meets the house wall in the next photo.0 -

 wow, thats an amazingly terrible bodge.
I thought this might be an iffy job done by an established company, then I see pictures of a job that look like its been done by a guy who just built a roof out of what was lying about. By the level of work shown i Imagine its not the first time hes done this.
Best of luck with chasing this in the courts, I imagine you will win, but I forsee the company being shut down, you not getting money back and him setting up again under another business name....0 -

I do agree that the name should be removed until he has taken legal advice. It is possible the solicitor would say "Go ahead and post", but until he has taken legal advice, it is best to play safe.
It sounds like he took advantage of an elderly person, thinking she would never notice. My late mother had lots of trouble from fraudsters and crooks trying to take her for a ride. Old vulnerable people bring these scum out of the woodwork.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0
