It would help your case if you were entitled to 6 months full and 6 months half pay as the PPI would not of been of any advantage to you in that case. If you are building your case on just the fact that you were told you must take PPI you will probably have to rely on recorded telephone conversations or transcribes of such still being kept on record by Sainsbury's. Was your application done by telephone, internet, in person or application form or a mixture? Do you still have any paperwork?
Hi,
Is it because its Sainsbury's that it has to have such clinical precision? I am in full time NHS employment and stated simply that I was covered by sick pay, was not given an option to look for cheaper insurance or opt out of the insurance. I have had several wins against Barclays, Natwest, HFC. I even took on Sainsbury's card when they withdrew a 0% offer because of a late payment, they never told me that was the condition. I never had to provide any evidence.0 -

Not particularly, and I'm no expert on here, just saying build as solid a claim as you can. I don't know what grounds other successful claimants have used, some may well have been successful using only one ground for complaint, if that's the case great. If you have had several successes you are more experienced than me to advise bhoqoN

I had a loan with Sainsbury's and sent my questionnaire to the Chester address, it was then forwarded to Bank of Scotland and I got a reply within 10 days, saying they are gathering evidence and investigating.
I guess either address will do whether it be a loan or credit card claim, it will get passed to the correct people, good luck.
i had a ppi claim paid back from sainsburys which was sold to me over the internet with then a courier who waited for a signature then handed me a cheque! i didnt even know it was an option or that i had it!! However, the main reason for my response is that it was the bank of scotland who issued me with the refund cheque.
good luck, they didnt take long to pay me either0 -

Thanks for that pipz
my claim has only been with them for about 5 weeks so just sitting back waiting to hear further. They have until Dec 16th when the 16 weeks will be up, I'm not chasing them up as I'm not desperate for any refund but it would be nice to get a positive result
Any idea how long in total did your success take  and congratulations btw :TSuccesses

well, i used a claims company (live and learn!) but put my claim in in jan 2011, however they were waiting for the court ruling but as soon as that happened i got a letter to say that i would be receiving my refund, a few days later i got a letter with a cheque in for nearly a thousand pounds (the loan was only for 2500), i was expecting 200 pounds at most so it was a bit of a shock! about a month later they sent me another cheque for nearly 500 pounds as they had sorted out the interested they owed me too! i reckon within about 8 weeks of the ruling i had the second cheque.
I was quite impressed at how quick it all happened. good luck with yours, hopefully you will have a nice letter on your doorstep soon0 -
