Jobseekers and bank statments

I'm going for my jobseekers interview tomorrow and was just wondering do I have to show the transactions in my account the last month, or can I just provide the amount in the account?

Thanks :)

did they ask you for anything specific?

When the County Council assessed my Dad for self-funding of his care home fees, they specifically asked for 6 months of bank statements (plus detail of all savings).

When the DWP assessed my Mum & Dad for separate pension credit applications (as he was a permanent resident in the care home) they asked for bank statements from the date he went into the care home.
  • When I applied for council tax benefit (and for housing benefit I believe) they needed bank statements, but JSA only wanted bank details so that they could pay the money in.

    It's only a game

  • Thanks, for the replies, guys.

They asked for ''proof of bank account statement less than one month old.''

I've had my first interview last week, and have the second tomorrow.
  • theres guidance somewhere and im damned if i can find it, that says they dont need to verifiy declared capital below £6k....dammit, got it saved at work too.

(pretty sure it was updated to £10k even though tariff income comes in at £6k but anyway....)

but for ease id take them a bank statement, itll have your bank details for payments & covers if they do ask.
  • if its for contribution based JSA then there are NO savings implications anyway

They do not need to verify capital below £5,500.
