I have a training session at The University of Warwick Science Park on Friday but it's only for the morning. I would like to have some lunch before driving home so can anyone recommend somewhere nearby please?
I don't want takeaway style - just something simple like salad or soup. Pudding would be nice as well
I have been searching online and found the Burnt Post? has anyone been there?
thanks guys

The Burnt Post is part of the Ember Inns chain and they're all the same. Food will be OK pub food, service will be OK (at best).
Which way are you heading home? Towards Birmingham there's the Village Hotel which will be fine. Towards Leicester or London you're a bit stuck. If you're heading south then go through Kenilworth and there is everything on High Street/Castle Hill (which isn't the main shopping street in Kenilworth - check a map) or on The Square (which is the main shopping street and isn't a square). Try the Clarendon Arms or Harringtons on Castle Hill, or Ego on The Square.
Staying in Coventry, go across to Earlsdon and there's Zafiri's, Kendall's and Millsy's all on Earlsdon Street. There's a new cafe just opened in the Memorial Park, but I've heard bad things about it.0 -
Thanks McAzrael
heading back to M42/M5 south. I hadn't thought of the Village - actually stayed there earlier this year when the training was over 2 days. At least I'll know how to find it!0 -
Then Kenilworth for lunch (as above) and then on to the A46 to catch the M5 at junction 9. Or into Balsall Common where there is a deli on Station Road about four doors to the right of HSBC, and from there it's easy to the M42. Or the Village.0

Warwick students aren't back yet and there are a lot of good eateries available on Warwick campus. At lunchtimes at this time of year they are full of professionals who work on campus, or on the science park, or the nearby business park at Westwood, so you don't look or feel out of place there if over the age of 22!!!!!!!

Can highly recommend Xananas in Student Union for a meal.
Curiositea is great as well, but doesn't do meals.
Costa is on campus too.
Haven't tried Bar Fusion, but looks pretty good.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
