re-capitalone c/c

Hi, I have just received my new Capital one Mastercard credit Cards, with 5% cashback, activated by phone, and registered online. Have pins and changed them, BUT, when I sign in to view my account, I can see transactions, but there are areas I cannot access because it says I am not authorised, like, my pin, my messages,I tried to send them a message internal ,to ask why, and on all these occassions it auto signs me off, and says "sign in again to access authorised areas".I cannot even view my profile, and it says "EASY" online banking.I already have a another Mastercard and Amex platinum. No problems with these.
Does anyone have this card and know why I cannot view MY details,or why any area should be restricted to me as the main card a/c holder??
They want me to ring 0844 which costs an arm and a leg on my phone, noto0870 doesn,t have an alternative number, so I hope anyone on here can advise please

If I recall I had a message about "access to my account being changed" and some areas being inaccessible until capitalone had issued the first statement.

I think it may just be a quirk of their system.
  • To be honest it could be written in a better way, but it's done for security.

After your first statement has been issued it will be removed, and you can use the full use of the website.

Hi, Thanks for reply, I also had the red writing, saying Access to a/c changed, ring 0844. It,s very badly worded, and I think it,s designed to encourage you/me to ring the 0844 and make more money out of you. It could/should say "after first statement",not just sign you out. I felt like I was trying to hack my own A/c. I looked everywhere for a reason, and I knew I,d find it here.

Hi, Thanks, I am all for security, but like you said, it,s badly worded, also, when I phoned them to give my wifes details, something other C/C ,s ask for when making original appliation,He could have explained it then.PS, Do you know which Hole in the walls I can use to change PIN for MBNA amex.?? It says any in their literature, but on all the local Holes don,t display Amex or MBNA amex , if they are different. I,ve got both.
