Redundancy, Self Employment and Benefits

Hi,

I have just been made redundant from my job which I have been doing for 10 years and have gone through the final stages of the process. Instead of looking for alternative work, I have decided to put all of my effort into setting up my own business. It is something that I have been doing since March this year when I registered as self employed. My question is this; I do not want to take a business loan to set up this business. I am currently not paying myself any wages from the business and am ploughing all money back into the business to help it grow. Am I entitled to any credits / benefits?
