Hi all. I could do with some advice please re: my other post.
Mum and I have been using coupons properly for about a month in our local Asda with my name, mums name and my partners name on them with no issue. I'm the 'organizer' to make sure we go where the best buys are and that we have all the right coupons for the right products etc.
Yesterday we went to A, first time i've left the house in about a week, and planned to use a few more coupons than we ususally do because I don't really feel up to doing much shopping at the mo.
When we went in Mum asked at Customer Services if it was ok to use them and she said 'So long as you have bought the product and the coupons are in date we will accept them.'
So we went round and did our shop as normal but double the quantity pretty much. We split it into 2 transactions of equal size so to make things easier for us and the CA.
Got to the till and the SA went 'oh my God your going to pay me with a crap load of coupons aren't you?' which annoyed me a little. Because she got herself all worked up she forgot 4 coupons. Totalling £3.25!! I spoke to CS and she said she'd contact me back after she'd done a till check.
She didn't contact me yesterday but she called today this morning (just after i'd posted!) and said 'You have received all the discount you are entitled to' I just went 'oh ok'
Anyway so she said 'we checked all your coupons and they have several different names on them' so I said to her that mum, myself and my partner print the coupons and use them on the same shop as it's for all of us. She just replied with 'well it's against our policy and for future reference we only accept coupons up to 10% off your total bill.'
Now tbh I was pretty annoyed after the call. And I felt/feel guilty that i've done something wrong but I know I haven't. Well not that i'm aware of.
Just wondered if anyone else uses coupons with partner's/mum's name on and if they'd had any troubles.
I'd like to complain about the way I was spoken to but I don't really want to make any trouble and I'm really not feeling up for a fight over it.
Anyway thanks in advance all.
Hope everyone is better than I am!

Novice at couponing, but had the Campbells thing. Was going steadily OK, when at Waitrose the manager refused - "photocopies". Given my officer printer is also a copier & fax machine I sort of see how he got there, but that they were a Facebook promo chit locked him down - "we get advance warning of Facebook promotions" & he hadn't heard.
So I smiled, thanked him for his time & left him holding a can of soup, looking at a queue of bagged off waiting customers.
Win some, loose some. Plenty of other supermarkets!0 -
hi SW
sorry to here of your troubles.
firstly you should not have been spoken to in that manner whether you were correctly using coupons or not.
i have used coupons with OH name on occassionally with no trouble but as with coupon use in general the ease of this can vary from store to store and even SA to SA unfortunately.
as to being only 10% of bill i think people have had variants of this but most use as many as products you buy with no problem. THIS may be either something your store manager has decided or CS being a trout.
i'm sure many here will advise you too and give their experiences of this and asda CS for complaint ( which i believe is supposed to be rubbish)Hi all. I could do with some advice please re: my other post.

Yes I think you register with the website. I've just done this with a new email and it gave me tow 50ps and I then went to beforeishop and got a £1 one by logging in with the new details“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
