Can I ask anyone who has used the Colgate coupon if it went through the till ok?
I used one and the till lady had real problems getting it recognised, eventually a super had to input it manually.
Was it just my coupon?

Going to try and get a few jars of the Sacla sauce this week for myself and DD. May I ask the experienced couponers a question please? Is it normal, when a mere beginner, grasping one or 2 coupons, for goods you have purchased, to sweat profusely when handing them over! :rotfl:
xx
Sandra, we all get anxiouss, honestly.
If you watched the programme Extreme Couponning on tv they get anxious at the till too.
The thing is to take a deep breath and go for it, as long as you know your coupons are right, you have the products in your trolley then go go go.:rotfl::rotfl:
You will save loads of money and that can only be a good thing, can't it.:):):):):):):)

I posted this last night but I think it must have got lost in the thread changeover :-
Can someone please tell me if I am doing something wrong?
When I printed out these coupons they were huge (almost filled the sheet of A4 paper), will they be accepted at this size or is there something which I should adjust?
I've never seen such a big coupon before!

Took about 8 mins to get sorted and not sure I wanna have a big queue of people glaring at me again.
One lady was even heard to mutter "This is what happens when you send men out shopping"

Ok today I had a problem with the £2 burgess rabbit voucher for excel products at my local garden centre.
I had printed off several and had read the terms to the best of my knowledge. I used 1 £2 coupon per item purchased and I bought several items, the problem I had was a) they had never heard of them and had no idea what to do with them at the till. b) some of the products were either £1.99 or £1.49 and they said I couldnt have the balance off the rest of my shopping. They didnt scan the vouchers but entered each 1 manually on the till. I had 3 assistants involved. They wanted to change the voucher amount through the tills system so I got for example £1.49 off against a £2 voucher if thats what my product cost. As they said the balance couldnt come offf my other stuff . I said well you are going to get £2 back from manufacturer then and make 51p profit ? To top it all at the end they asked if they could keep 1 of the vouchers so I had to explain they needed to keep them all to send off!
How do you read the terms and what do you think should have been the correct way to handle the vouchers?
I have emailed Burgess to ask
Looking at it from the shops point of view I would have expected them to do what the supermarkets sometimes do. For example the Asda huggies newborn box coupon, the coupon scans for £5 but the box is only £3 at the moment. If the SA is on the ball she will alter the price of the coupon manually to £3. This has happened with other coupons in the past.:(
Looking at it from a couponners point of view, I might have been hoping it scanned at £2 and got the difference off the rest of the shop.:)
Some coupons do actually say though, as did the spam coupon, that the coupon is for a certain product "up to the value of £2", so its right that they alter the amount to what the product actually cost.
If it were me I would just accept what happened and just use another coupon next time I bought pet food.

Thanks CW
I agree with your post, There was nothing "up to" on their coupon so thought I might have got lucky. I was happy to get £14 of free rabbit food but they just made me feel so bad about the coupons. I am hoping I did nothing wrong by using multiples but there is nothing I can see stopping me in T&C.0
