Hi I'm a newbie so be gentle

I've been lurking on this fab thread quite a bit lately so thought I really ought to say hi. Thanks for all the hints and tips!

New to couponing but can see it getting addictive already.

Took a trip to Mr T's today, it was a smaller store and didn't have a lot of stuff I was after - shreddies, campbells, sunblest pancakes (think thats mainly a N.Ireland thing, picked up a voucher at a food fair) but did use yazoo- 4 packs are 2 for 2.30, great for kids!, Sacla..got Uno bolognese jar (down to 99p with coupon-had it for tea, yummy!) and the dettol apple floor wipes for 85p after discount. I used a self service till due to large cues, is that a bit sneaky? I was still beaming as the machine said coupon accepted! Thankfully they all worked.

Making a trip to a larger store tomorrow so can hopefully pick up the stuff I missed, just printed 5 Sacla vouchers as that sauce was so tasty!

Off to Ts tomorrow for some free shreddies.Its been killer seeing them in the shops while I was away knowing that I had a coupon at home.Must go off and plan a shop got some £6 WYS £30 for my local store being re-vamped:D

Evening all,
Just been trouted in Asda!!
Went to a big Asda not my small local
I picked up 6 Plax mouthwash with my 1/2 trolley full of shopping, I gave the checkout lady 6 colgate coupons and they wouldnt scan!!!! ( I had the same problem with my local Asda yesterday and they just put them through as moc 75p)
Anyway she had to call a supervisor so waiting 5 minutes for her to come and she didnt have a clue and called another and again wait for another 5 min for her to come. By now i was getting very embarrased as a family behind had loaded all their shopping and where clearly getting fed up waiting, I apologised to them for keeping them waiting.
Anyway she came with a face like thunder and was reading the coupon very slowly... and said you cant use them as they all have the same barcode and we dont take them they have to have another barcode, I explained i knew about the safe coupons but this wasnt one and it came from the website and i could use them as i have done in my local, so again she started reading the coupon and said ohh it says only 1 per purchase so you can only use 1, I told her i was purchasing 6 bottles so i could use 6 coupons but she said no no you cant only one per transaction!!
I then tried to explain the coupon clearly states that you can use one per purchase not transaction and as i was purchasing 6 bottles i should be able to use them....... More people staring at me by now as if i was trying to rob them!!
She still said No you cant so i said ok then no problem will you please void 5 mouthwashes and i will just use one.
Which the cashier then did, I was so hot and bothered when i was leaving.... do you think i should write then a little e mail about it?

also do not post non coupon related links such as freebies , unless a coupons involved or competitions etc
please post them in their relevant threads

keep things polite if you need help/info ask politely and you'll get a quicker reply.
but also
if/when you recieve the help/info you asked for . PLEASE thanks/acknowledge the reply because that is just as rude and discourages people from helping again.

What to you tell the SA's if they ask you where you get your coupons from? Was asked earlier at T's.

Anyhoo, another 4 Shreddies & 6 campbells soup added to the stockpile, plus a few other bits also bought with MOC's.

Had a very cheap lunch, free campbells soup and free sandwiches (left over from my stint as dinner lady yesterday)!

Have just updated my spreadsheet with my coupon savings from today and have saved £227.16 since I started - so well chuffed.

Just back from ASDA (larne)

They have the Dettol wipes on roll back @ £1 (so 50p with the coupon on 1st page)

Also Domestos Germ Blaster Rim Block on offer at £1 (so free with the Unilever Vip coupon)

Supervisor comes back can use today as i been waiting long but not again. Why? bulk buying - er no i have 6 each mouthwash er lets try one per purchase yes i have one per purchase not transaction er nothing to say just a waste space... (12 mouthwash)

Asda - now funny Asda are atm, not much bother in there, i'm thinkin they have given the trouts a frontal lobe labotomy? No problems.... (10 x boxes non bio & 11 mouthwash)
