its policy now as there are so many people turning up late at night with fake coupons so they have to check before taking any amount of coupons.

Got a coupon through the letterbox for 50p off Vileda Extra Power Scourer or Non Scratch Power Scourer but can't find a store that sells them.
    Anyone found them anywhere please.

I got one through the door to and used it in MORRISONS last week. They were on half price offer at 59p - hence 9p with coupon.
Afraid I didn't notice when the offer ended
    The end is nigh

No problems using coupons here today, I did wonder after the 'article' whether the SAs in Ts this morning would be on strict coupon patrol ! Accepted all of mine including the £10 morrisons off a £60 shop voucher (which did scan at £3 but then SA overode it and put in correct amount.)

Total shop before B1G1Fs offers and coupons was just over £100, got it down to £55 :j (and yes, I did follow the t&c's on the coupons and only used 1 per item ! :p)

I do think Sainsbugs are more strict with their coupons and breed trouts ! :rotfl: I always have problems with coupons in my local store so don't usually bother. I am popping in later though for a dettol no touch system ;)

I find my Morries the worst, always scrutinising coupons - well apart from one or two nice ones who work on a Saturday night.;)

I normally use the S/S tills at Sainsburys, but haven't for a good few days now since reading about the Campbells coupons. Nothing needed, so won't probably test until next week.

I'm being frugal, got most of what I wanted and I'm no longer buying just for the sake of it - could be a bad mistake though if the stores tighten up on coupon use!!! :(

Some big spenders on this thread............glad to see the savings you lot make..........it really makes me smile............well done. :T

Not into "wombling" or JTD etc, etc, this makes me laugh also and good luck to you. I can now understand how people get loads of free Tesco points and maybe cheap holidays (converting points)?? Always wondered. lol

  • I,ve been in s yesterday and used 3 coupons on ss till without problems. After this article i was also a bit worried but i must highlight that most of us use coupons and buy the product. even if someone will be questioned about their coupons you could always say that they can open Ss till box where they keep the coupons and check if you used a correct coupons. I think this will not change anything.
  • i been to m's,used 8 different coupons but when checked till receipt only knocked 6 off so trip to cs who went for coupons and gave me the difference back in cash and very nice they was too
  • Just did my weekly shop in Mr T's and saved a whopping £24.50 using MOC's:)
I used the £10 off Sunday Mirror Morrisons voucher (It did scan at £3 but SA overrode it and typed £10 in manually) and the £5 Daily Mail one. I bought two Dettol No Touch handwash systems so used 2x £3 off vouchers and they are currently priced at £4.99 each. The Dettol 500ml spray is £1 at the moment so got that for 50p with voucher. I also used a couple of the £1 off vouchers which were in todays Sun newspaper. Also the Dettol Aloe Vera refills are £1.50 which I got a member of staff to check for me as there was no price on it so I grabbed a couple of these for future use.

Also it's not a voucher offer but the 43g Pritt Stick glue is down to 37p each. I needed glue for my DD and thought it was priced incorrectly on SEL but it scanned through as that so a bit of an accidental bargain as they usually cost around £2.59.

What a fantastic saving and I couldn't have done it without you guys so a huge Thank You!:)
My mantra is "Never pay full price!" ;)
  • Hi everyone, I am a long time lurker and find this thread very useful indeed.

This morning I visited my local co-op to see if they had any 'free soup' but they do not stock it. I thought I would check the Comfort etc and found that they have their Persil liquid 18 washes on offer at a third of for £2.86. So with the £1 unilever coupon it's only £1.86 which I didn't think was too bad.

    :)
