I remember reading somewhere earlier in the the thread about Tescos only taking Sainsburys conditional spends, so I phoned customer services before I went just to check what the deal was, as I had one from the Coop and was told that that would be fine, got to the checkout and it wouldnt scan so someone else came over and said no they don't take them only Sainsburys and Morrisons, I did query why I was told something different a couple of hours ago and the reply was that customers services are a nightmare and have their own rules! Wasn't quite sure what to make of that lol

In the end a checkout manager came over and said that they stopped taking them last year along with a few others like farmfoods. I was actually more inclined to believe her, according to her badge she's been there for 11 years and she did seem genuine, who knows though... If I can muster up the energy I might email again looking for clarification ;)

I couldn't use a co-op one last week and they tried to tell me they had never taken them - despite me having my email in hand and having used them plenty of times before - I'm going to re-email the person I got a reply from before and see what they say :(

    Thanks! :D

I just found those posts! :o I have checked my IP location and it does show UK! Think I will phone innocent tomorrow to see what they say. Will post back if I get any sense!

I contacted them through FB (mine says UK too but won't let me have the link to print) and they just said 'use someone elses computer' - very helpful  Did you contact them and get any better information??
  • Been away for a couple of weeks and it's all kicked off whilst I've been away it seems. Whilst I also don't want coupons to dry up, it seems peeps are criticising those who've loaded their trollies with Shreddies, Sacla etc but weren't those same people applauding the extreme couponing going on in USA and praising the tactics used there? A coupon is only a piece of paper after all whether it's "safe" or not so I really can't see what all the fuss is about.
    It's 5 o'clock somewhere!

use of coupons also comes down to what is on the coupon
    if they say:
on per transaction or per customer only use on in your shop
    OR
if it says one per item purchased the you can use one per each item your buying

    Thank you Myrtleturtle!!!

I think I understand now. Be totaly right and honest I should not use 2 personilesed coupons for 2f1 offers, however some people do that. I also should not use those 2 coupons in two goes, but some do. Pdf I can use as I want to.

I think list of shops on 1st page which accept coupons would be useful for newbies... maybe?

Oh heck lol thats my Sainsbury s but it wasn t me :p Im not that cheeky. I did post on here the other day that my local Sainsbury s will only accept 1 coupon per transaction and now i know why. Mind you the supervisor who came over did say something about the local police being involved and i thought she was just saying it as i thought it was quite an unusual reason for not taking my few.:embarasse

  • Ah, CaptainBlondeChick, who I visualise as a blonde Jessica Rabbit, wearing a cap at a jaunty angle! Thank you very much for the link to the vouchers.

That was me! You are very welcome - it didn't appeal to me but I am so glad I was able to pass it on :j (the afternoon tea coupon came from someone else, so I can't take credit for that one!)

    :T
A big thanks also from me and DD - when off to visit her at Uni on Saturday and enjoyed a BOGOF lunch, also left 2 sets of coupons for her and her new friends to use, although she says she will not use!! (I don't think she has been away from home long enough to appreciate coupons - LOL)

I emailed last night and got a reply this morning that they still take them, I quoted it earlier in the thread :) The only thing is I now can't find the Coop voucher that I had! Bloomin' typical! :rotfl:

  • the SA in Mr T looked at my shreddies and campbells coupon very closely but then just put them through - just one of each. then in MR M I had 3 packets of the rice and pasta in sauce and 3 20p coupons - the SA immediately said she had never seen them before- was very apologetic and called a supervisor - she said she had never seen them either but to scan them - they scanned ok so no problem.

Thanks to everybody for their input.
