Hermes! Grrr!

I came home today to find a note through my door saying a parcel had been left 'under doormat'... nothing there. Called Hermes to question it - told I have to contact the company I ordered the item from if there's been a mistake with delivery, despite the fact that I have the card, with the name of their courier etc on!
I just can't believe that under the doormat could be considered a safe place?!

My postie recently left a parcel in my wheelie bin, about 2 hours before the bins were emptied.....
Apparently it's not a rare occurrence from what their customer service people say.0 -
You mean to say under a doormat is not a safe and conspicuos place to keep a valuable parcel
