Hi All,

Dallagio sauces by sacla are 99p in Morrisons until the 02/10/11, you get a penny back - so be sure to buy something else!
I bought 6 today in the same transaction, without any problems.

Hope this helps someone

  • I had a horrid experience in Morrison's with these coupons. I took four of the jars plus some other shopping to the self service till and tried to do the 'have coupons' thing. The SA came over and said that I couldn't use them as I had copied it because they had the same barcode. I explained that it was a pdf and mentioned one coupon per item, not transaction but no, she called the supervisor. they both stared for ages then decided I couldn't use them as I had copied them.

I was getting a tad annoyed by now but the best was to come.. they called the general manager! The supervisor and the GM stood talking and looking over at me so I leaned back on the self service till and folded my arms.. cos I like to be defiant like that

Anyway GM finally comes over, i've been about 12 mins now. I told him that I hadn't copied the coupon as that would be fraud and I don't commit fraud. He was a bit surprised I think and took another look at the coupons and then said they were fine to use, its just that he had never seen them before.

I thanked him and the first SA started putting the coupons through. She was going on about people copying coupons and how Morrisons lost money from it.

I think I'll stick to T's for coupons in future!

  • Sadly Angelina's is not an isolated incident. Whenever I've tried to use vouchers in Morrison's (even those cut from a packet, so obviously not fake in any way), both myself and the coupon are scrutinised and invariably some kind of supervisor/manager needs to be called. I tend to not use them in Morrison's now, but for some free sauces I might be persuaded :D.
    Thanks for posting!

I went in for 10 jars, i'd bought 10 previously without a problem, only to be told can't use them as the picture, yes picture, didn't match the prouct. I advised t&c said ANY jar, then said i'd been in previously, so i said so what? Then said won't take them so called manager, he said hebelieved they were being mis-redeemed, i aske him if he was calling me a fraud, he said no, but obviously he was. Then he said the coupon states he has discrection not to accept, so i left but got home saw it didn't say that at all just the Sacla has the right to accept the coupon..... Anyway to wriggle out of it, the only part which they didn't focus on was used as part payment, which is obviously not but you could argue that these are half price an offer from the shop and thecoupon an offer from the company used by the customer as cash. Oh that's another excuse they used that can't use them against an offer, doesn't say that on the coupon..... Down With Morrisons Trouts

I got 2 jars from Morrisons yesterday without any problems. Coincidently, the cashier was the store manager and he just scanned the 2 vouchers without any problem.
  • I used 2 last night without any problems. Thanks OP. Great spot :j

I don't know how old you are but Asda used operate a rule where you could use coupons without buying the product to pay for your shopping (same as Tesco, Asda later had a 10% rule). As for ethnic minority familes using coupons, perhaps you lived in a area of high etnicity as i can't see only ethnic minority familes using coupons. Also coupons count as cash, they should be treated so and the if the t&c allow multiple use then I feel such use is fare and honest; also coupons are very good for shop buisness as they can redeem and get a handling fee too. Coupon use in this country tends to be treated with snub nose behaviour, however if you look at programmes like extreme couponing (you tube) you can see how USA approach and applaud coupon use.
    ;even at extremes...

I have use many many coupons and must say I been there and done it, saved loads, in fact i'm still using diswasher tablets i purchased with coupons 3 years ago; a great saving.

Call me old fashioned but if someone says to me that i'm mis-redeeming a coupon, they are in fact infering I am commiting fraud, even if they don't call the Police.

  • I personally would not advise people to go in with 10 coupons..

I know the TV show is called 'EXTREME couponing' but why do things in extreme? lol

Why not just take 1 or 2 in with you with your normal shop and walk out a happy bunny??? :D

Personally I'd be happy with even one jar if I lived anywhere near a Morrisons that is ;););)

10 coupons a day is hardly extreme, two trolleys full free tooth brushes maybe lol
