  • I have vodaphone pay as you go. I have the talk for an hour and pay for 3 minutes at weekends and evenings, but I didn't know there was a free international calls option.

  • You cant get FREE Intl Calls on Payg. You can only normally get them if you have inclusive x-net contract minutes on Orange,T-Mob,Virgin,and O2.

I also am with Vodafone and have been for the last 8 years and have never heard of free international calls either.

The call would not be Free from Voda Payg.
You can only subscribe to stop the clock if your on the Voda AnyNet Payg Tariff, and to dial the Pre-dial O2 gateway number using stop the clock would cost you for the first 3 minutes of a x-net offpeak call 10p a minute. Then its free for next 57 minutes.

If you want to find the O2 access number go to Pre-Dial click on Free Destination List, and there your find it together with destinations covered.
  • As others have said, there isn't an option for free International calls on Vodafone pay as you talk. It has been advertised by third party sites that the 07744 free International call numbers will work on Vodafone, although after speaking to Vodafone's billing department, this it isn't the case either.

07744 numbers are chargeable from all PAYG Networks not just Voda.

I would like to know if these 07744 numbers (used for ringing abroad) are 12p a minute on t-mobile's everyone package as I have checked there website and it doesen't mention anything about these numbers i.e if they are charged higher than normal mobile calls

UPDATE - I tried it myself and yes it works fine

    Please clarify this

I have a vodaphone contract. Can I use 0773066** O2 Access Number from Pre-dial for my international calls. I am also using Stop the clock so will it work with it as well.

If I use stop the clock, will it work with 0870 number I mean if I am calling abroad using 0870 number and talk for 50 minutes will I be charged 3 minutes @ normal rate of 0870?

Are there any special numbers for vodaphone contract phones.

Stop the clock works with any UK Geographical Number or UK Mobile Number. So yes it will work with the O2 access number, and not you cant use 0870 numbers with Stop the clock. The only number you can use from Voda contracts is the O2 one you mentioned.
