Doha Airport

Has anyone got recent experiences of stopping over at Doha airport recently? I will be flying to Doha in April and have a six and a half hour stopover before catching a connecting flight to Dubai.

I am travelling with 2 teenage kids travelling with laptops, ipods etc Any tips??

I went through Doha in 2003. I don't know how much it may have changed, but the airport was tiny with not a lot to do.

I assume you are flying with Qatar - they do organise trips for people with long stopovers - some details on the website here http://qatarairways.com/holidays_excursionsightseeing.html?linkdes.x_3*2

The last one looks like it would fit into your waiting time, but it would be worth checking direct.

It has changed alot since 2003, the airport and been increased in size and the duty free changed around and though it is not huge it still has everything you need or expect.

The food area is pretty small and not much choice though the food is alot better than some airports I have been to.

Are you expecting to buy things in Duty free or just wonder about the facilities?

Enjoy Qatar Airways though, one of the best airlines at the moment.
