Buy from PC world online and you can pay extra for a specific delivery date and time. £10 in fact but worth it for peace of mind and convenience. But what happens when that computer doesn't turn up. Well you can ring the PC World 'if there's a problem just ring us' number on one of their many conformation emails and they'll tell you its being delivered by a company called DPD so nothing to do with them.
DPD every heard of them? No me neither. You can't get to speak to a real person at DPD just lots of touch phone options and a machine that says as its the weekend the offices are shut. Where is my computer that should have been delivered between 8am and 12 noon today Saturday? No idea. Any response from DPD? No. Can PC World help. No.

Don't know. Did you ask PCW for a tracking number when you phoned them? You could then have entered it at http://www.dpd.co.uk/forms/track-my-parcel.jsp.
I agree that it's frustrating to pay extra for a specific delivery slot only for it not to show, but getting a tracking number from PCW would at least give you some idea of where it is, and when it will arrive.
Speak to PCW and ask for the £10 back.0
