Laptop Problem

My newish Toshiba Satelite has just developed a problem.

The in built mouse / touchpad has stopped working, I have tried restarting etc but to no avail. I have plugged in a stand alone mouse and this is working.

Does anyone have any advice.

    Sounds like you have mistakenly locked the touch pad

    Forgot what the command is now to unlock it, but i'm certain somebody will be along soon to let you know

    as above --and u can prob. 'unlock' via the trackpad applet -- usually located in control panel .

    You were both correct, I've found a little button above the tracker which I must have brushed against which locks the pad.
