hi ED and welcome to couponing

firstly readding 1st pages of coupon thread will give you not only coupons but much info too.
don't worry about that phrase on coupons to much, although a store could refuse use of coupon on offer items . most do not.

but other wording you should check for instance:
-per item purchase means you can use more than one of that coupon per shop
    - one per transaction or per person means you can use only 1 of that coupon per shop
    - also you must buy correct item for each coupon

see coupons on 1st pages of coupon thread
there is a 50p off coupon to mccains oven chips( PDF so can be printed more than once)and these are £1 tesco or 2x £2 sainsburys so 50p a bag.

so in answer to last question, yes you should be able too but just beaware if they so desire they can refuse if its on offer but as i said most don't refuse.

    Hi,

Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place but I was hoping that someone on this thread would be able to clear matters up for me... I'm trying to start up a bit of a stock pile of essentials because of needing to cut back on weekly food shopping but needed a bit of advice about how to get the best out of a coupon.

My main problem is I don't understand the "cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers" that seems to be printed on almost all coupons. When I saw a program a while back a lady brought 2 loafs of bread, the bread was on offer 2 for £2 and she had a £1 off voucher which made the bread free....sure enough at the checkout the bread was free. I don't understand how this happens if the coupon cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer...or does this mean any other manufacturer offer and not store offer.

I mean to try it out today but left the house without the coupons I needed :(.

An example of what I'm trying to do:

I have some McCain chips vouchers that were on MSE forums, now the voucher is only worth 30p. In Sainsbury's at the moment these chips are on two bags for £1.80. If I were to buy the two bags and then use two vouchers in theory this would bring my total spend down to £1.20 = 60p per bag...which is cheaper than the store brand...can I do this?

I will try it later in the week if the offer is still on but would this sort of thing work or is it just a bit of a fluke and sometimes a voucher will work with an offer and sometimes won't?

Thanks for reading...and once again really sorry if I've posted in the wrong place.

    Cheers,
    Ed

The ASDA "Big Clean" event ends tomorrow (15th), so I've been told today.
Got 2 Persil non bio and 2 Comfort just to top up and before the offer ends - £2.50 spent.

They weren't replenishing the stocks on the event shelves, they were actually pretty empty.
Get there quick if you need anything.

    Lynsey

    Thanks Lynsey

Got 10 packs of the Persil capsules today - went a bit OTT!

I need a coupon folder - is there such a thing or is it just an adapted folder of some other kind?

Has anyone else had a £1 coupon arrive in the post to use for any Nestle breakfast cereals - or is it just me?I cant think where it might have come from - the only thing I can think of was the Facebook shredded wheat nanas page but even that makes no sense as it was ages ago. Anyway Cinnamon Grahams are £1.50 in Sainsburys so thats where I am taking it.

Also tidying my couponing folder yeaterday I found Cherrios 25p MOCs that were on the Nestle pic a pac little boxes months and months ago, expiring at the end of this month so I am on the look out for a Cherrios half price or BOGOF deal :T
Going through my emails last night I found a Rumblers survey which I did and a coupon for a free pot is coming in the post. I've heard it mentioned a few times on the thread but I still dont know what they are!
(Incidentally I tried my card in the Boots machine yesterday and the few I managed to print off had a January 14th date on them so there might be a new batch of points offers/discounts from the machine this week)

Very sad that the Bottlegreen Presse print offs have now expired, just watch them go on offer again next week
So miserable having so few MOCs and print offs that they all fit into 2 folders and I know exactly what they all are and when they expire :(

and put them all in date order

    Hi Mickeyp

I had plastic envelope with a clip on the front, its the size of a normal envelope offices use and i put all my coupons in there. However, I am a newbie so maybe someone else has a better idea.

I recycle my envelope from tesco HO ;) and make sure the Tesco stamp is on show when I produce my coupons.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!
