Anything major changed in last 5 months?
Was ill all over christmas through to February then had family issues but now I'm looking to get back in there with the coupons.
I had a shock yesterday when my fella told me we were out of washing powder - well the SSM stockpile lasted 14 months so I can't complain but paying full price for powder will kill me!;)
How did u manage to get a SSM stockpile? I thought you could only print one voucher from SSM for each product?
Thanks0 -
dr oetkers pizza £1.70 in heron. Seem to be 2 for £4 at the main supermarkets. Any cheaper elsewhere?0

Hi All,
This is my first post but I've been money saving and using this website for about a year now. I've had some great savings by using the voucher links and tips from others on here, so thanks everyone.
I'm currently on maternity leave, as had my second baby 6 weeks ago, and am keen to try and improve my money saving ways to help our finances whilst only receiving SMP!!!!
After watching a lot of 'extreme couponing' I'm wondering if this can be achieved on any level in this country with regards to the collecting and cutting of coupons. So far I've only used the online printable coupons or any MOC's received with freebies or samples etc. Does anyone here have a folder or file with loads of coupons that you've collected from inserts, newspapers, magazines etc? Or does it just not happen like that in the UK? I very occasionally pick up the supermarkets own mag but only if I remember!!
Should I just stick to the online coupons or is there a worthy reason to go searching for those paper ones?
Thanks for any advice or info.0 -

Is the washing powder MOC still available or has that one disappeared. I didn't see it last week when I signed up to SSM. Does anyone know how often SSM changes their coupons?0 -

hi and welcome to mse, nice to see your first post.
it can be but not quite at the level you see on TV for 2 reasons:
1. TV is grossly exaggerated for the fact it is TV! the supermarkets will put special offers on just for the tV programme!
2. we don't have double up coupons that can be combined at the same time as another coupon like they do.
the programme has to be taken tongue in cheek as good entertainment. Yes people in the US can save loads on their shopping, due to the number of coupons available to them and they way they can combine them.
BUT, if you watch out for the newspapers, and have shops near you like Lidls, Aldi, they are currently offering coupons in newspapers that can be used in their own stores. Unfortunately you will not be able to reduce your shopping bill to pence with them but they are not as overpriced as shops like tesco, sainsburys, asda, etc. so you will find the shopping cheaper anyway and your money will go further.
but if you sign up for tesco clubcard, sainsburys nectar, etc you will find they send you their own mailings, that you can combine with instore offers and other vouchers to reduce your shopping bill.
are you on any of the cashback sites like quidco, topcashback? do you have smartphone? if so look for shop scan save and shopitize. you can earn cashback on certain items that you buy. there are dedicated threads for these items.0 -
