Money off coupon 'chat' thread

Small ASDA: only one like coupon per customer per day regardless of how many of the items you buy, only selected internet safecoupons accepted, must check with CS before shopping.
Big ASDA: no interet coupons at all but as many others as you want to use as long as you buy the items.
Little Tesco: no interet coupons at all but as many others as you want to use as long as you buy the items.
Big Tesco: only one like coupon per customer per day but all safecoupons taken.
Sainsburys: no internet coupons at all but as many others as you want to use as long as you buy the items.
How random is that?!
Also, they chose to tell me this as the 'big Tesco' when I was at the till with loads of people behind me and all of my shopping had been scanned. The checkout supervisor told me that I'd been monitored and it wasn't fair on other customers to take multiples of items to buy with coupons?! Cue me getting really upset as I had a full trolley and all these people looking at me whilst I was basically being told off.
What I've done in the past and will continue to do if it happens in the future is empty back out all the items on to the checkout and tell them to put it all back and walk off:p Can be frustrating if you've spend ages doing a weekly shop.
Also, I find it much better to do this whilst a supervisor is in the vicinity/meddling/poking their nose in as opposed to leaving if for the till operator to deal with. The CAs are invariably just following what they've been told to do by some jumped up supervisor/management who don't know/can't be bothered to find out what their particular store's policy is.
I know this is "chat" but I believe relevant to the whole purpose of this thread - the acceptance or otherwise of printable coupons.0 -
Was like going into the crystal maze with the number of threads and posts but love it ...hopefully I'll start adding to the tips soon. My friend has just paid of his mortgage at 35 - motivation for me to get of my bum and do the same!!0

Tesco policy is to accept ALL coupons as long as you have purchased the item. This is directly from their head office are several complaints from me regarding my local big Tesco who were found to be making up their own coupon policy. Head office visited them & said if my shopping came to £100 & I had coupons for £99 they would have to put them ALL through. Since then I've had no issues with coupons.crazy_girl wrote: »Hi couponers, I normally post on different threads but I thought I'd share this with you. I've had problems with supervisors making up coupon policies/interpretations as they see fit. A common one is when it says 'one coupon per purchase'. This means 'one coupon for each item bought', however supervisors often read it as 'one coupon per transaction' which is so annoying! I kicked up a stink at Superdrug and went 'ok, I'll do 17 transactions if you're up to annoying this queue behind me' and they backed down - grr! :mad:0

Last year I decided to make note of the amount I saved by using coupons (I should get a life!!). I have jus totalled it up and I saved £730.62 by using coupons last year!!
A lot of those were SSM, L'oreal, tons of free Special K and other stuff from Facebook, clubcard coupons, and vouchers from surveys (e.g. Pinecone) etc.
Very happy!!
Would like to thank everyone on here. Without you lot I would not find the amazing coupons!0 -
bargainlover08 - well done and a great savings. :T
Some decent pdf ones would be nice to start the year.
