Oh and My Tesco is clamping down BIG TIME on coupon usage too - they on'y let you use Safe Coupons if they have your name on them - has to be in the same name as the card you are paying by or is paying cash they ask for ID or won't take them.
They won't let you use the PDF Tesco's own coupons - have to be from a magazine and they are very funny with the likes of Reloaded printed from computer! It annoys me but I have seen the frauds in action with stacks of coupons and when they refuse they just say OK and leave the store - no arguments- this is how they know they are frauds!

hey i would send an email to customer services about this! as this is not their policy and some stores make it up as they go along as they may have had a bad experiance i had a trouting from one tescos after a quick couple of emails to customer services they have been put straight so now no issues

    x hope this helps

I disagree. If they won't take my coupons, I don't always argue the toss, sometimes, I just can't be bothered and say, well in that case, I don't want the items, you can take them off my shopping, I am in no way a fraud, I just don't argue with them, if they won't take the coupons, I can't make them. I would just make a complaint to head office after, rather than cause a scene.
  • managed to get a weight watchers meal from my coop - was really tasty - bns and mozerella risotto i had it with grilled peppers and mushrooms :)

I looked in Morrisons and Co-op yesterday, can't find them, haven't used a coupon on them yet.

I'm having the exact same problems as Mickey P at one store. My name on my bank card is inspected to ensure it matches the names on my coupons, pdfs are limited to 6, online versions of Tesco coupons are banned and I can't stack coupons. I've emailed Customer Services and basically, Customer Services has backed up the store's trouty activities. Here's the response I received:

Thank you for your e-mail. My name is XXX and I'm a Customer Service Manager at Tesco, and I'm here to try and help resolve your complaint for you. Please accept my apologies for the delay in my response.

I'm very sorry to learn that you've experienced problems using certain coupons at the checkout in our Norwich Extra store recently. I can understand how frustrating this must have been for you.

There are terms and conditions attached to all coupons, including those in our magazines, and these are clearly printed on each coupon. These usually state that only one coupon may be used per transaction, and that copied, damaged and defaced coupons can not be accepted. Regrettably, therefore, the Lenor coupon from the Tesco magazine and the one from the Super Savvy Me website may not be used together for the same item.

With regards to the Real Food magazine, regrettably only coupons from the printed magazine may be accepted, as a copy from the magazine printed from the website is regarded as a 'copied' coupon and is therefore not acceptable. I've been advised by the store Duty Manager that copies of the Real Food magazine will be available in the store soon.

Finally, concerning the use of internet coupons for multiple products, any restrictions on quantities of any one product is usually dependent upon stock levels in the store at the time of purchase. In the interests of availability of any product for as many customers as possible, therefore, it is frequently necessary to restrict purchases of a single product as determined by the individual store.

I trust that this response explains the matter clearly.Your comments have been noted and passed to the relevant department for their consideration, and thank you for taking the time to contact us about this.

  • uum not sure i agree with the .. you know they are frauds because they use the stacks of coupons and leave if questioned.... i always place about 30 - 40 coupons depends on what pdfs are available through Asda or Tescos.. they arent fraudulent but if a TM from the supermarket wont accept them i just think fair enough and tell them to put the stuff back. I dont argue to toss anymore because i really cant be bothered get myself hot and bothered (but only if ive taken it as far as a MGR) ... but that doesnt mean i was using fraudelnt coupons. I hate the way some small % of shoppers are cashing in on the coupons by fraudulently using them BUT if you have a legit coupon and within the store policy then if i want the product i will use the coupon.... getting around a loophole like the chap witht he £8k he managed to get from Asda in Sept was just such an example.

    regards to all Cathxx
  • Just been to Asda .. used 10 reloaded, 10 Heinz, 10 Colgate £5 Bonus moc and £2 in APGS... and picked up my 12 cans of Carlsberg for my Dad so i can get the £2 moc ... thanks to the chap who posted this tip yesterday! I didnt have any problems at all and the checkout lady and person behind me were lovely and wanted to know how we all did it... i get asked by so many people i now give out a little slip of paper with the beforeishop, supersavvy and MSE details on.

Need some help please... i saved my colgate email i got from colgate with the 75p off coupon in my normal gmail folder... i also saved to a pdf BUT ive just gone to print out again as i used my last 10 tonight and the email is still there and my PDF with is an exact copy of both pages of the email and neither shows the coupon anymore ?????

OMG im so stressed now.. what have a done wrong and where has my actual coupon gone? any techies who can help please.. im desperate to find my coupon again as it runds out in a few days.

    regards Cathxxx

    Oh I had this one

Thank you for your response. Please accept my apologies for the delay in my reply.

I called the Southampton Millbrook Store and spoke to Sally, Checkout Manager. She advised they have stopped accepting internet coupons as they have had some fraudulent coupons come through. She asked me to pass on her apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Our coupon policy states that as long as the customer is buying the corresponding product, the coupons is within the date specified and is not a photocopy then we will accept it. The only coupons we do not accept are damaged coupons, photocopied coupons and competitor coupons.

Sally has been made aware of this policy and will be advising all her Checkout staff. I am confident you will not have a problem using internet coupons in the future.

I had explained the coupon I was using was printed from online they agreed it was not a photocopy
