theres been a lot of press about coupon abuse and the major supermarkets have clamped down on their use

there were edited coupons floating around and people were compiling them on single sheets , hence the removing any copies hosted anywhere aprt from the originating web site

the forum does not allow exchanging of personal details , including email addresses , which would be required to send them to you

Does anybody know if you still get coupons on the back of the kelloggs variety pack boxes? They are apparently 49p in some Mr T's :D

The coupons we used to have were on the Nestle pik a paks. Remember the little, was it 25p, coupons we used to cut off the back of each little box.

I used to have a pile of them in my bag pre Black Friday. :( Ahhh, the good old days.:)

Sat 29 Oct 2011 - We've had a few reports of people receiving spam emails about 'winter sales' and other similar events purportedly from Martinsmoneytips@moneysavingexpert.com. These are pure spam and nothing to do with us. Please be very careful. That email address is only used to send the main weekly money tips, which is duplicated on the site here. Anything else is fake. We are currently looking into it. Please report any e-mails to spamreport@moneysavingexpert.com

anyone see this? just spotted it.

But a seperate post can be inserted in the main coupon thread just for the PDF's

I read the main thread , cannot remember many posts complaining about it being confusing as it goes and I have read most of the earlier threads going WAY back over several years and thread owners

I have been reading the comments about the new pdf coupon thread and am wondering how we have all managed all theses years without it, especially when we used coupons as cash in Tesco.

Then I realised, we managed very well with all the coupons on the one thread:D:D:D I think it MAY have been Princess Coupon who really organised the first pages and then Sher60, Idlesaver and MT all put their own slant on the pages but did a very good job keeping it all organised.
There is already a non coupon chat thread and a coupon chat thread, why do another one? It is very easy to search for coupons on the thread and doesn't take long to skim through the list of coupons anyway.
There is so many different threads on mse that it is difficult keeping up with them all even when subscribing to them so I for one do not like another coupon thread. Why didn't the people who wanted the pdfs re organised just pm MT with suggestions. I don't think she is an ogre, in fact sometimes she can be quite reasonable:eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl:
Any coupons I find pdf or otherwise will be put on the main coupon thread. The dettol coupons were my last find and tbh I do not appreciate them being posted on another thread, wether here or the grabbit, but I obv don't own the copyright. :(

If people want loadsa thanks, then just post on the drivel thread, you get plenty there;)

and finally:D a massive thank you to MT and Browntoe for all your work, especially all the extra work that has been needed in the last couple of months:T:T:T:T
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    Good morning everyone

Well said Blue, why start another thread. What a pointless excercise when the thread with them on already exists.

Not really coupon related so if it gets moved that's fine.

Now it's illegal to write down prices in a Tesco supermarket

I am nearly arrested for the 'crime' of doing a price check on some bottles of water

I was almost arrested in Tesco this week. My crime? Comparing prices. Evidently, this is such a security issue for Tesco that it wants you booted out of the store. The deputy manager rushed up to me within minutes of my arriving at one of its London supermarkets. The security cameras had spotted me with a pen and paper in hand, noting the prices of goods on the shelves. "Excuse me, what are you doing?" he said. I told him I was, well, writing down prices.

"You're not allowed to do that. It's illegal. Where are you from? Are you from the media?" I don't feel Tesco has any right to demand my employment status, so I just said: "I'm a private individual, I'm buying some stuff here, and I'm comparing prices."

It obviously didn't satisfy him. "It's illegal to write things down and you can't take any photographs, either. If you want to check the prices, take the item to the till and pay for it there. The price will be on the receipt," he said, pointing me to the exit.
