yes, you should be able to, but people are reporting, some stores tills have already been reprogrammed for monday, so not accepting, but they should still be putting them through manually.

Thank you! Will see how I go! :o

yes it is, the day Martin went on TV and told everyone that Tesco accepted all coupons even if you hadn't bought product as long as they stocked it.

Oh right....is that a bad thing then?

    Cheers anyway;)

well, imagine this, msers knew about it, several thousand of us - but only a few hundred actually do it? Martin goes on tv, national tv, tells everyone, so Ts realise that everyone will do it, how much money will they lose, they pulled the scheme.

So you weren't allowed to use any coupons in T's then? When did they bring them back?

I've sent you a reply by pm, I don't want to cause any confusion on the thread by explaining an out of date policy on here. Hope it makes sense GC

    Hi everyone

I'm wondering if the £5 at M&S that was in the Daily Mail earlier this week would be a conditional spend voucher accepted by Tesco? Until they stop accepting them after this weekend obviously! Can I combine it with the one from the Sun today?

I think the M&S voucher had an expiry date of Wednesday (26th) so would Tesco accept an out-of-date coupon?

Worked fine! Along with some other Daily Mail ones :)
  • My T were on high alert today as to coupon use. Tills in my store had been reprogrammed in readiness and my apgs & cs needed manual input. However, all of a sudden, at the demise of a wonderful and long policy all staff suddenly seem to know what to do.

Find it strange, yet typical, that they've all been briefed on the new policy NOT to accept c.s etc yet for years its been a regular battle of wills at the till/supervisor/c.s desk for them to accept them when it was clearly their policy.

Actually despite the impact on my savvy shopping I am almost looking foward not to have to shop in Tesco. For me its like going to the dentists or for a smear! Yup, I hate it that much - but the great savings of c.s usage meant T won the day. Now that ship has almost sailed...

Uh oh, I didn't look at the date! She entered it manually!
