Would you suggest it would be best to wait til around 10th November , then phone them?
Well the first issue to get handle on is what *exactly* happens on 30 September?
I'm afraid I think you are in a "deferred discount" bind. What you do is up to you but my "opinion" is that your £100 NPower discount is not earned until 10 November.
Though I don't much advocate NPower (because of "deferred discount" and other reasons) you might as well consider any NPower retention options. But be aware that only you can decide whether you are being given an "accurate" phone explanation (see another thread today for an interpretation of that comment).0 -
Thanks. I would expect 10th November to be my date too. I will have research npower retentions and have a look at the thread you referred to. I am very wary about getting into conversations with these people without lots of research and fact-gathering first!
I also need to get my calculator out and analyse the costs for the 6 weeks I will be on the Standard tariff.
Time for work now, thanks again for your input. Such a tedious business this!0 -
The discount isn't tariff dependent. You can be on any tariff, even standard, as long as you pay by monthly DD0

whats the betting that i get put on 24 and thus commences a very long argument with npower customer services. something to look forward to isnt it!!!0
