ive got a dark brown leather arm chair that's had some light scratching from our new dog and im hoping to find a way to (at the very least) dim the scratches..?
plus, our lighter brown nubuck leather sofa needs a good clean and i dont know what to use to clean it without ruining it! id also like to protect it from spills in the future.. is there any sort of sofa varnish i can add to protect it? i dont mind if the colour has to darken to do this...
any ideas on how to solve either or both problems for a reasonable price?
thanks all

I bought some recolouring balm (dye) from acompany called furniture clinic they have a website https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk , it cost me £12.99 for 300ml you might need more for a suite i used it on my car and it works.
For the cleaning you could use gliptone i bought mine on ebay.0 -
Before you do anything, in case you cause further damage to your sofa, I would have a look at this site, and contact them:

You can clean the sofa with saddlesoap which you can get it tack shops and proper hardware stores. Hide food which you can get from the same places will keep the leather in good condition.
As far as the scratches go you could try and find a tin of Tuxan on ebay or maybe you have some hanging around in a cupboard. It isn't made anymore unfortunately so you won't get it in a shop. Apparently Kiwi do a renovating shoe polish (i.e. one with tanner's dye in it like Tuxan) so you could see if you can get some of that. If you do use shoe polish make sure you really work it in an buff it off properly so it doesn't transfer off on your clothes. Another product that might do the job is Dylon leather shoe dye but being a stronger dye it might be harder to blend in a touch up job. You would be able to get that in a good hardware store or a large art shop (like Fred Aldous £2.65).0
