No, if a patient is referred by a nhs dentist to another nhs dentist even for treatment under sedation this is not a new course of treatment as diagnosis and treatment plan and possibly other treatment have been done by dentist one. Dentist one collects the fee for treatment done and dentist two ticks the treatment under referral box on the fp17. It seems strange but is right.
In this case it is only a band one fee op just had an xray ,probably an opg which is not available everywhere, therefore they pay only once to original dentist.0 -
In Scotland you pay extra for any XRay.0

Unless you have an insurance-based plan to cover checkups and treatment. (I'm with Denplan).
Getting an NHS dentist round here is like trying to find rocking horse poo.
