Try these places I have used them all:-

    EBay in general....??

Canon oulet on ebay (+VAT):- http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Canon-Outlet_W0QQssPageNameZl2QQtZkm

    Morgab auctions:- http://www.morgan-auction.co.uk/

    Fuji Refurb:- http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/technical/refurb/shop.php

With the first two you need patience.

The fuji site is a good place.

I have seen folk on here say that the novatech cameras are good value (but might not have the cachet your friend would want). I have bought a lot from them and found them reliable.

Pixmania are ok too but more mainstream.

Unfortunately for your budget you are going to have to trade well to get a decent camera...probaly end of line.

Morgan auctions have a nice Pentax Optio 33LF Digital Camera (Open Box Stock in Excellent Condition) currently £45 will probably go a bit higher but I haven't been watching them recently.

So do your home work as well

    Hope this helps

i've recently bought a vivitar vivicam 3826 4.0 mp it was on sale for £85 from lektronics.it's compact and light and has loads of different functions and the print quality from the boots DIY digital print machine is spot on.if you buy a 256mb sd card you can get around 155 pictures with the camera set on the higest resolution.
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!

I can get this camera for £75 which is within our budget range and i have had a olympus camera for a few years and i like it.
Would this be a good first time ideal digital camera.

Praktika cameras are very poular on the continent and underated in this country the Praktica DCZ3.5 looks a good deal
  • Watch out at Morgan Auctions VAT is added on extra. This is what they say.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ALL BIDS IN THE MORGAN AUCTION EXCLUDE VAT (@17.5%) AND ARE LEGALLY BINDING.

Ebay is a good place to get one, but make sure you buy a "named" one.

I've got a Casio digital camera that my hubby bought me off ebay, think it was about £40 and it's great.

I just pop in now and then.... :)
