Freeview+ Set-up

Options
Hi! Just set up my new Freeview+ Box (Humax PVR-9300T) to connect to a Sony Dig Ready TV.

Everything seems O.K. but when I put the box in stand-by mode, I lose all channels on TV. Surely I don't have to play the TV through the box all the time!
Have re-tuned TV several times but just says "No Channels stored".

Have I not got the "wires" etc in the right places or is it something else I have done wrong? (Bearing in mind, I used a Video Recorder before this so not great at this sort of thing):rotfl:

DVD player works fine.

Any help would be appreciated!

You need to connect the TV's aerial socket to the aerial loop output on the Humax box.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Penrhyn is correct. presuming you have only one aerial into the room; connect the aerial to freeview box, then a 'loop through' aerial lead from the freeview box into the TV aerial input. At the moment, it appears you only have the aerial lead connected to the box, and the box connected to the TV via scart or HDMI lead?

The manual should have a pretty picture of this set-up somewhere as it's a pretty standard way to have it set up.

You probably have the low power mode enabled on the Humax. See this thread post 13, different model but might be the same:

The TV is a receiver, the DVD isn't.
You've been pointed at the ariel need for the TV.

    Why am I saying this?
    Bloody Sony TV's.
Digital switchover on the 7th, and did everything except my main TV.
Went through digital set-up, and it found 123 sources, but when I exited, there were no channels stored.
After speaking to Comet / Sony / Comet / digital switchover people, none were able to help
Found out myself in the end!
You have to restore the factory defaults and clear everything, then it retunes itself, with an option to 'SAVE detected sources'.

So why does it have a digital setup facility? Crazy!

Thanks everyone! particularly Inner Zone. You were right - had the "low power mode" switched to ON. When turned to OFF, everything working perfectly.

Had all the "wires" in correct place - just a simple thing like that!!!!
