So jealous, I wish I could ride again.

I used to ride and I worked at stables. Real life got in the way and I stopped. This year I decided to go on a horse riding holiday so bought all the stuff and had some lessons to get me back to being able to ride again

2 hours into my 3 day trek, my horse galloped off at the first bit of open space and was hard to stop him. I managed to once but he did it straight away again. This time the saddle slipped and I fell off and had to go to hospital who told me I had sprained my ankle. This was the first time I had ever fallen off a horse.

I have a condition which means that my joints get problems and doesn't recover well from injuries. (Also means that I am less likely to get injuries as well. It's genetic and my family have never broken any bones).

5 months later and I am still having problems with my ankle and I am too worried about hurting myself again. Never realised before as I hadn't fallen off before.
