Working Tax Credit Threshold

I thought the threshold was somewhere around £16k? i spoke to them this morning it said it has been lowered to £12k region; is this correct, i did an online calculation around 3 weeks ago for £8.03 an hour job it said i would be entitled to £30 working tax credit (no kids or partner)

  • Sounds about right - approx £12,500 for single claimant with no children and approx £18,000 for couple with no children, as far as I know.

    Sure someone more knowledgeable will be along to confirm/clarify.
