Hi...looking for a new 4' 6'' bed and have found a 'Pinetum Quercus' oak bedstead that we like that a local shop has for aprx £600 (exc mattress).

Over our budget but we like the colour and the solid feel...
Just wondering in true moneysaving style anyone knows somewhere online where I might pick up this or similar bed for cheaper + in York area?
many thanks

Nice looking bedstead. This isn't quite the same, but might be of interest considering the price difference...

Hope that helps.0 -
My mum, and just last week I bought my double bed from Tesco, it's a really good solid build, easy to assemble, and has some nice features. £198, although my mum had coupons so she ended up getting mine for £159, plus 4% cashback.
LXDirect have a range of mattresses, I bought the ultra-luxe latex one, £300, but £272 with a voucher code and cashback meaning £255 in total. Of course, they have excellent mattresses for half the cost, but I wanted to treat myself. Tesco also do a nice orthopeadic mattress, my mum's bed and mattress came to £249 I think altogether.Know me for who I am, not for who I say I am.0 -

If you are plugging your own site/business you need to declare the interest."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

To be fair, some of his posts were quite helpful (and did declare the interest) but 20 posts in the past 24 hours is a bit much: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.html?searchid=7253708"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Sorry Tim but saying you haven't always named your website is no excuse because in most posts you have made it clear in one way or another that you sell mattresses and this is advertising. Especially on this thread as the OP is asking about a bed and not a mattress.
Its a shame because as you have obviously noticed mattresses come up a lot on MSE and you could have really helped users with the ins and outs of mattress buying had you not had an ulterior motive.0
