BT Openreach want to dig up my drive

I am currently with Virgin Media but would like to move to Sky however it turns out I dont have a BT phoneline. I need this as I want to use Sky Anytime exstended services. The engineer came out and informed me that I needed a dig under my drive which I agreed to as he said it would be put back as it was.

It hasnt happened yet but Im not a bit concerned as I havent got anything in writing saying they have to reinstate it as it is, I got a new driveway laid last year with lights up the edges and a few people have said it might get ruined.

Has anyone had a dig from Openreach and were you satisfied with the outcome of the works? Im suddenly having a panic!!

Thanks

I'd want it in writing that it's going to be as good as new and not patchy. And take photos of how it looks now.
Do they have to come up the drive, i have Virgin and when that was fitted they buried the pipe in the garden and it soon grew over.

It WILL be patchy, to the same standard as a road or pavement. It will not be colour-matched or be unobtrusive, unless you can cover with grass or gravel.
