Ferry Delays etc .....
Question and answer time please
If my ferry ( or Plane ) was delayed / cancelled till next day and my prepaid parking ticket run out what would be the outcome ....?
Example : Ferry to Calais from Dover , 2 day trip , ferry cancelled and i arrive back on the 3rd day , would the ferry company be liable for the overstay charges etc ?

You'll need to refer to your own contractual terms, but typically the answer is no."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Referring to ferries, I suspect there'll be something in their ts & cs or on something you were given at the time of buying the ticket(s), or even on the ticket, about circumstances beyond their control. eg. mechanical breakdown, bad weather etc. So as Premier says, probably not.
However, I'd be surprised if the ferry company didn't sort out an alternative, in your case, the tunnel.0 -
I've only ever had one ferry delay but that was due to a force9, and the ferries having trouble docking. *touches wood quickly* If it's Dover to Calais, they are so regular you shouldn't be delayed for long. The Very Right Honourable Lady Tarry of the Alphabetty thread-I just love finding bargains and saving moneyI love to travel as much as I can when I canLife has a way to test you, it's how you deal with this that matters0

You're into a whole new ball game there!
Have a search around the forum with regards "parking penalties" (invoices).
Look in "parking tickets, fines and parking" for your answers to that.:)0 -

Where are you thinking of parking?
Parking at most airports and ferries you simply pay for the period of time you stay. You typically take a ticket on entry and then pay on exit for the peeriod you stay. I've not been to any airport (and I've used a lot!) nor the ferry at Calais that issues 'parking penalties' for their car parks."Now to trolling as a concept. .... I always allow as much time as I can (without going into the next daily charge).
I doubt the ferry company will be liable.0 -
