Sat/Sun 17/18th Sept - What small DFW things will you be doing?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Morning all,
I'm up earlyish for a weekend as I went to bed early - OH has been at work since 6am, hopefully won't be there too long today though.
Pixie - Thanks for sharing your chow mein recipe, sounds nice & easy! Haha aww it's not a commonly used word, which is why I still use it as it's always a name that's rarely taken already, no need for a bazillion numbers afterwards
Today's plan:-

Morning Perni - look at you here on your own...I shall post my list and join you:p Makes me laugh that you said you like some of the things on my meal plan - they're boring as heck to me, but the girls aren't particularly adventurous (eldest in particular) so we eat the same old few meals week in week out it feels:o
Ok, time to write my list:- check banking
- check mysurvey
- do P-cone survey that came last night
- amend online shopping that's being delivered tomorrow
- meal from stores tonight - scampi and oven chips for me, girls are eating with their dear father;)
- washing out on line
- list a few bits on ebay
- hoover upstairs
- look for contents insurance thro' Quidco;)
I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Wow, it's quiet on here today! I'm back to "normal" after a week with an irritated eye. I might actually get something done this weekend

So far:- ran DW overnight on Economy 7
- ran WM overnight on Economy 7
- careful drive over to DD's as it's a Grandma Day
- lunch and snacks from DD's stores

- go to jumble sale later (delivering a corset to a customer but will have a nosey round whilst I'm there)
- finish another corset this afternoon
- dinner from stores
- make damson or Mirabelle jam tonight
I'll post another list tomorrow rather than a weekend list now. It helps me focus a bit better if I do that. Have a good day folks,

Morning all - popped on earlier but there was no one here!
So been out and done a few jobs and come back to see if you're here yet!- Walk dog done
- Post amazon book done
- Post ebay sale if payment clears not paid yet
- Pick up library book and take others back done
- Pop into the bank to close an account done
- Do the grocery shopping done, spent £22:T
- Park in a side street and avoid car park charges done
- Clean the house (hoover and dust) done

- Do some school work (maybe 1-2 hrs)

Off to my friends later for a catch up so looking forward to that.
Also exOH popped around last night to talk about divorce and we've managed to agree to just go our separate ways financially so that means that the house is safe ( I bought it a long time before we got together) and he keeps his savings towards a new place. He also agreed to accept responsiblity for the breakdown of the marriage so it can go through quicker - no waiting 2 years - a relief all round.
I'm a combination of relieved and sad but have to get on with things - onwards and upwards!
Right, the hoovering beckons:(0 -

Hehe yup, I was Billy no mates this morning! I think it's just because you put different things on there to what we'd usually have, so it seems interesting! We tend to cycle the same few meals too - I really need to start trying some new recipes out.WelshWoofer wrote: »

I'm glad you're both able to agree on a clean break like that, must make things a lot easier in some respects, hope you're doing ok though x
DNMS - Glad you had a fab time! Good luck with your decluttering mission, I am very, very slowly getting there with mine lol:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

Welcome back DNMS glad you had a lovely holiday.
I forgot to add earlier that I banked a check from music magpie, most of the money is MIL's but I made £9 so that will go into NY pot when it clears.0
