Hi all,
Just been to another NCT sale, it was better than last time. I took my hubby, and he was very impressed. We bought a babybjorn carrier for £5, a pelvic belt for my hip pain at 50p and 2 baby books for £2.50.0 -
I can deal with the taking care of baby part, its the lack of sleep part thats going to kill me as DH will be back to sea when baby is about a month old so will return when baby is on solids and hopefully at the sleeping long stretches through the night phase.
DH seems to forget im pregnant when it suits him as he knows I struggle to change our bed yet hasnt voluntered to do it himeself, has walked right by a pile of ironing that i need bringing upstairs since Monday and basically expects me to pick up after him like I used to. I think tomorrow Im going to have a duvet day and stay in bed all day and give him a list of jobs that need doing housework wise. He has been good at doing the DIY that can wait, but things like wiping down the kitchen sides or picking up his dirty washing are just alien to him at the moment.0 -

My husband does this all the time anyway, and he's here permanently!
I put things on the stairs to be taken up, they get stepped over. Kitchen surfaces stay covered in crumbs and spills until I wipe them. I have to rummage in his gym bag for dirty washing. I snapped at home the other day that I don't want to feel like his mother and that I was fed up of feeling like I live in a student hovel but I'm going to need another plan of attack as no improvement just yet...:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
I can back you both up on this point. My OH is excellent at cleaning things, crap at keeping things tidy and tidying up. Crumbs on the worktop and dirty dishes are my bug bear, it really annoys me, I'm constantly moaning and nagging about it, then it'l come to a head and things will be fine for a few days and then it's back to square one.
I've lost the will to live, because he seem's happy enough to live in a hovel, really not sure how it'l be when baby arrives, because I won't have the time to do it, and looking at the mess constantly will seriously bring me down. I've tried to explain how it makes me feel, but he thinks I'm being stupid and exaggerating.
On that note I've just gutted the bathroom, it's looking shiny shiny nowand the bedroom is half way there. Waiting on the floor drying in the b/room before I can put all the furniture back in!
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
