I've not had a good weekend as such. Highlight was going to see an old friend and nabbing her baby things lol Now have a FULL wardrobe of baby clothes, shoes etc and we have a moses basket to put in the cot (IYKWIM) just need to sort hospital bag out and buy an outfit for little miss to come home in and thats it - ALL DONE

Oh . . . and pick a name lol

Just seen a lot of people have had their babys so... CONGRATULATIONS xxx

Morning all!

Managed to get back to sleep last night and only just woke up in time to take DS to school! Really need to set an alarm lol!

Had to get up and stretch my legs in the night and managed to stand on a dead mouse the cat had left in the middle of the hallway :eek: I have no idea how he got it there because the doors are always shut between the cat flap and the rest of the house for this precise reason! I knew the little so and so was a Dr Evil wannabe but it appears he's also been learning from Houdini :eek: not impressed!

Did have a vague hope that the fright would send me into labour, but no such luck I'm fairly sure baby has dropped right down though, my bump is still enormous but I would swear that I can feel shoulders wriggling very low down! He's also bouncing on my cervix, which is fine with me - means he knows where the exit is

Kandboys - good luck with the dippy midwife today. I'd be tempted to put everything you want the head midwife to know in a proper letter so she doesn't forget anything. Oh and try to get the head midwives number out of her so you can check she's passed everything on!

Piggers - thats rubbish you're still hobbling at least you can see your feet though

Baby brain is getting to me.

A few weeks ago, I opened our door to two sweet young boys, who were collecting sponsorship for something. It was pouring down, and their pen had stopped working, so I gave them a few pounds and a pen.

The little idiots ran off with my doorbell!

I went to buy one this morning, and realised I already did on Friday- thankfully I'm an Ebay hound!

midwife is doing mine she said come in at 8.30 and she will do a blood test then i have to drink a sugary drink and go back for another appointment at 10.30 to see the effects of the drink.

Not had mine yet JJ, its in a few weeks, but it seems to be a bit different in that they dont take a first reading pre drink. I have to fast overnight, then drink the drink at home ( i have the powder to make it with already!), then report to the clinic to have a blood test exactly 2 hours after the drink was drunk! Then they have kindly booked me a follow up midwife appointment afterwards, so i'll be there for a good 2 hours anyway as i'm being seen first for GTT, and have to wait for all the other GTT's before i get the M/w. Been warned to bring food with me so that i dont pass out from fasting from 7pm through to 11.30am!

Are they open yet? :rotfl: You'll be battering the door down when they open up!

Just had breakfast - at least 2 hours earlier than I normally do! Off for lunch with a friend later - not really looking forward to it, but I suppose I'll enjoy it once I'm there.
