travel to paris

I want to travel to paris but not sure how to go about it.

I have never been there so new to it.

I want to travel from manchester to paris.

I have looked at coach, car and planes. It seems it will cost in the region of £100+ just to get there. I would also need two nights in a hotel nothing more than £40 a night.

If anyone knows any good package offers or sites, please let me know.

if you have already been please let me know any good sights to visit.

Not sure where about you are but I've travelled by coach with Harry Shaw & Travelstyle all around Europe, including Paris. These trips will include travel, hotel, & breakfast, sometimes evening meal too.

Visit the Eurostar web site. Return fares London - Paris start at 59 pounds, although you need both luck and a lot of forward planning to pay as little as this.

Once you have a Eurostar ticket, you can buy a ticket between Manchester and "London International". This is a flexible rail ticket for the price of a cheap fixed-time ticket, only sold to people who are making an international journey by rail.

Last time I was in Paris, I stayed at MIGE. A tiny but spotless single room cost 50 Euro including breakfast, and it was in a historic mansion within the central area.

If you're in Manchester fly direct to Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. Underneath the airport is a railway station and you can get a train to any of the stations which ring the city centre. To be honest you can get a really good deal on flights and top class hotels from a number of sites like expedia.co.uk. We got the Hotel Regina, a four star, right beside the Louvre and had a wonderful weekend walking in the Tuillerie Gardens and along the Rue de Rivoli to Place de la Concorde and into the Champs Elysses. The back streets to the Rue de Rivoli were full of marvellous little shops and we picked up some excellent Limoges china for a pittance.

You can buy a ticket from Eurostar from Manchester to Paris - but rather than take the Tube between Euston & St Pancras just walk as it's about a mile.

You can also book a package including a hotel through the Eurostar website - just do some research about the hotels offered
