Friday midnight, Radio 2

Until recently, I was a night-time HGV driver, and, sad as it might sound, the highlight of my week was Friday midnight-3am - Mark Lamarr used to be good, then there was a bit of a lull, but Huey Morgan is even better than Jools Holland on a Monday or Jamie Cullum on Tuesday Now where's my next can of Strongbow... I remember the time when JY was getting really excited about about an upcoming phone conversation with somebody on a moving train omg with no connecting wires - I think it was a Great Western train somewhere near Reading. The time arrived, the guy said 'hi', and the phone went dead - JY creased himself laughing, but I'd bet he's now got a top-of-the-range smartphone...

ps, Radio2 was recently asking for people to nominate their favorite R2 'moment' - if I could have been bothered to email them, I would have nominated that first public exposure to the 'mobile phone'
