I have just seen advertised on *bay

"control pedal & plugs 4 the Tesco sewing machine range"

it was written exactly as i have written it here - hopefully this may help you, not exactly cheap but if you can't get them from anywhere else it may do the job.

Also when i picked mine up from the E*stg*t* store in Br*st*l i took one of the £14 ones back - i handed it in at the electrical desk at the back of the store, so may be worth asking if they still have this one available - sorry i didn't tell you earlier it just totally slipped out of my head xxx

Would you believe it? I called Mr T on Tuesday and said one had been returned to the store. They checked but told me they'd all gone. Went into the store today and just thought I'd look, in case one had miraculously appeared from nowhere. Well, guess what was sitting all on it's own, tucked in at the end of a shelf? Yes, the £14 mini machine which looked as if the box had been opened, so guess it was the one you returned earlier in the week!! Grabbed it immediately, got it price checked and it was £6.00 :j

Meanwhile, yesterday I picked up one of the machines in Lidl, so now I've got 2. I'm not returning the mini one to Mr T on principle, as it took a lot of persistence to track one down. I'm going to keep the Lidl one and give the mini one to a friend for Xmas. I think she's going to love it.

So for anyone who is still looking for the machine, don't give up. I've been in 3 times this week and rang the store endless times. Don't take what the SAs tell you, as they may tell you they don't have any or don't sell them, which is what my store told me several times. If it's not too far out of your way, it's worthwhile going to check yourself as they often don't know what's available in their own store.

So after a week of frustration and backwards and forwards, it has really paid off with 2 great machines for £66.00. I'm over the moon.:rotfl:
    Virgin CC £1,738.84 Barclays O/D £32,012.24
Total debt £33,751.08 as at 2.1.13
Short term goal - pay off Virgin CC by end of Jan 2013:eek:

Im so pleased that you managed to get one finally (or should i say two), as you say persistence does pay off, next time you go in you should have a look in the little electrical office/department at the back of the store they had some brilliant offers on the cameras etc in a glass case - you never know you may find something useful xxx

I totally agree, staff don't know what is in store and also cages of things come in from the main warehouse, saw one yesterday and it was full of random electrical items, just one or two of each.
  • Picked up my third sewing machine this afternoon. Thanks OP!
:money:I'm not a friend of Martin's, I AM Martin. Just not THAT Martin. :money:
  • Really wish I could find one but none in the area :( but will take the advice above and keep trying.

What gets me, is that it's being sold on the Direct site at full price. The manager we spoke to who checked out the back for us, said we could try ordering it from the Direct desk, but it was coming up at full price on there.

Yep, spotted that cabinet a few weeks ago, late one evening, back when I was on the camera hunt. I went armed with a list of 12 cameras and asked the SA to check out the back to see if they had any of them. He came back with 3 cameras (black, silver, pink), so finally I got a Black Fujifilm for £30, again after my 3rd visit!
