Where to put TV in a bedroom?

Options
Where's the best place to put a telly in your main bedroom? Regular TV stands are far too low to watch the telly from the bed. So, i've considered two options: get a tall set of drawers and stick the telly on them or mount the telly on the wall.

  • depends what TV

I've got a 42inch plasma in my bedroom, so i bought some 18mm MDF and some timber. I made a fake wall / stand to mount it to so i didn't have to drill into the actual wall; it stands about 5ft tall and sits at the end of the bed

If you really must have a TV in the bedroom then the best place to site it is so that it can be seen from the bed. There are some, including myself, who would consider this to be a rather ridiculous question.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

To be fair there are lots of considerations to this:

    1) The optimum line of sight ratio in respect of the size of room and the TVs screen size/ viewing angle/ resolution
    2) The relative height of availabl objects on which to stand and their relative differences in height
    3) Viewing consi-

Actually scratch that, I agree wha a bloody stupid question :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

why dont you just get a bracket on the wall.
    credit card bill. £0.00
    overdraft £0.00

  • Fix it to the wall, you may have to use a swivel or tilt bracket so that you can see it from your bed. Stick a poster up which is the same size as your tv, lay on your bed and see if its right. Move the poster till your happy with its position then stick the tv there.

you need to consider where you will view it from
our bed is a bedstead style
so i mounted the TV so the bottom of the TV frame is in line with the top of the bedstead
from a viewing angle from 'pillow' view
  • You should never put a tv in the bedroom.

Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.
