In Work Credit

I've just started work - 30 hours per week after being on Jobseekers for just over a year. I'm a single parent to two children and have appiled for in work credit, does anyone know how long it takes to come through? I applied on the 6th September.

  • They have a deadline of 3 weeks from when THEY received it.

I claimed on 24th August and got my money today, no paperwork yet just my money.

Chase them up, did you send paperwork recorded delivery?? My friends got lost in the post so got delayed.

Congrates on your new job

  • Hi and thanks! :)

I handed the form in at the Job Centre so they definitely got it!

I got return to work credit a while ago, after being off work on ESA due to anxiety and depression.

If it is the same rules and guidelines (which i assume it is, apart from which benefits qualify). They aim to pay your first payment within 5 weeks of receiving your application, they will back date to when you first claimed. In your case 6/09/2011.

I meant return to work credit but as I said, same principles

So you should get your first payment by 5/10/2011.

    Hope this helps
