Combi Boiler Fault, seemingly intermittent

Hi! Long time lurker, first time poster.
So, this morning, our somewhat temperamental combi-boiler decided that it didn't want to ignite at all. We brought someone in who diagnosed that the problem was with the air pressure sensor, which has duly been replaced and now the boiler will ignite, but perhaps it's a bit too keen to ignite... A fairly recent, intermittent problem seems to have got worse now, though...
The boiler will fire up for hot water or heating, work for a while, but then start to go out and re-ignite, stay lit for a few seconds, then go out again... over and over. If it's left for 20 minutes or so, the boiler will work again quite happily for a time (seems like a fairly random length of time - 30 mins, an hour or several...) and then the igniting/going out cycle starts up again.
I've read about low pressure being a potential cause of this kind of behaviour, but the pressure is way above that magic red line around 1bar... closer to 2, usually.
Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be?
The boiler, I shudder to mention, is a Ravenheat RSF 84ET - and somewhere between 6 years old (the previous owner told us it was 5 years old this time last year) and 11 years old (going by the numbers that have been put down in some of the service documents).
Thanks!

Primary ntc can cause this and is very common on these. Otherwise I would check the heat exchanger for blockages.0

Nothing wrong with Ravenheats...simple technology.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
