We are off to Florida in October and are looking without much success for flights direct to Orlando from London with a return from Fort Myers.
One way flights to Orlando seem to be more than a return with some suppliers!
We have found one deal with Delta but flights o Orlando are via Atlanta with the inevitable delay associated with a stop. Not too bad a deal at £440 each for half term week...... but i would like to do better.
has anyone any advice they can offer?

You won't find any direct Flights from Ft.Myers. Maybe there are some from Tampa, but Orlando and Miami are the best bets.
Driving is not so bad in Florida and there are motels all over the place.0 -
It would be best if you re-scheduled your holiday a little and left via Orlando or Miami.
Delta and United airlines tend to have several stops at Atlanta ,Chicargo ,New York etc before flying to the UK so they are cheaper but it takes twice as long to get home, okay if you wanna be on the go for 18hours +.0 -
Hi
We flew into Orlando and out of tampa last year with BA.
Can't be booked online but customer services are great on the phone. This year we are flying to Atlanta, then onto Tampa (after 2 nights) then home from Tampa.
Good luck you will have a great time we love Florida and especially the south west and everglades!0 -
As i said i have been searching for flights so am aware of the lack of direct flights from Fort myers to London. We have previously travelled back via Miami after a 3 hour drive to the airport. Thanks anyway.
Plan is to do 4 days at the parks and move to Sanibel / Fort Myers and fly back, with a stop, from there. At present we have a good flight back on hold. This is from Fort myers via atlanta but is only 10 hrs 45 in total..... so quicker than the 3 hr drive to Miami and then the 9 hr flight.
Really would appreciate advice on finding a cheap one way ticket to Orlando or Sanford. If there are any available.I save so I can spend.0 -
