Does anyone know if there is going to be a newer model out in the next couple of months? Thank you.
DIL is looking to buy but wondering if a newer model is due out then the price of the older ones will decrease.

Apple are very reticient about releasing news about new products until they are just about ready to ship. The Mac Rumours web site is not always correct about new product releases and their dates, it is after all a guessing game.

The first hint of a new version is when news web sites such as MacWorld start reporting of increasing lead times for the present model indicating that there is falling stock levels - the unit is being superseded. Apple are exceptionally good at controling their stock levels and don't have large stocks to dump at reduced prices once a new model is released. Occasionally some dealers will offer increased "bundles" such as a free case with an item. This is the dealer getting rid of their stock before they are left with an old model.
