Today wanted to book two persons on return flights to Tenerife -£316.20 for two persons including taxes came up on their site. My partner had second thoughts so I went through the same proceedure and discovered that the self same flights for ONE person came to £100,10. So booked myself on . During booking my partner changed his mind yet again so I went , yet again, through their site but now the price had risen (in a matter of minutes) to £158.10. ITS A CON but I still managed to save myself £58.

Maybe they only had one £100 ticket left? When you booked for two people, they would have to quote the same price for both people (i.e. £158 each, rather than one at £100 and the other at £158).

  • I booked and paid for the £100 one first. Then paid £158 for the second. I wondered if my computer left a trace on their site which prevented me from getting two @ £100????

No, it's how rupenshah said. It's a well known feature of the airline booking systems. It's not a rip-off either! Don't be so quick to accuse!

If you want 2 or more seats, it's always better to book them one at a time - then you pay the lowest price for each seat, rather than the maximum price applicable to any of the seats.

Unless, of course, someone else nips in between your bookings!

My son books flights to Thailand with ba frequently as his dad lives there. We stopped buying flights on line for 2 reasons.

    1. the same reasonas yourself , the flight goes up in price by the minuite
2, we could actually get a cheaper deal by booking over the phone e.g cost of filght on line £1200 cost of fligh over the ophone direct to ba £795.

Booking on line is not always the cheapest option, yes they probably do have some on line offers but we have never found them yet.
